Wow don't I feel grown up!
As most of you know it was my birthday last week (buh bye teen years!)
I was well and truly spoiled by my nearest and dearest with my gorgeous goodies including this delightful Cath Kidson brush set - thanks little sister!
Featuring a foundation, blusher, eye-shadow, eyebrow and lip brush this cute little set is perfect for home use or for holiday travel. The pretty packaging pretty much sold it to me (I'm a sucker for anything floral) and I think as a 'starter' pack this'd be perfect. It also retails at around £20-£25 (depending on various offers) so it's fairly reasonable for a decent variety.
Now for the embarrassing part, having never actually used a proper set of brushes before I have little clue where to start. Do any of you have any tips for a novice like me :
The best way to clean brushes?
The best way to actually use brushes?
Anything would be welcome even if it's just a nod to a decent tutorial you've seen/made.
Hopefully fashionismyh2o's makeup will be raising it's game sometime soon

ReplyDeleteHappy belated birthday!
ReplyDeleteI just use shampoo to clean mine. How you dry them is most important. Leave the brushes laying down flat with the bristles hanging over the edge of whatever they are on. Squeeze out all the excess water.
