Boohoo : Autumn/Winter 2012 Look Book + Trends

Hey dolls, hope you are well!

As we fast approach the dipping temperatures and gloomy days of Autumn (who are we kidding it's pretty much already here!) Thoughts turn to just how to style our way through the chillier season. Despite it not yet being August we're already swamped with snapshots of 'key trends' and 'must haves' for Autumn/Winter '12 and let's face it - it can be a little overwhelming understanding what exactly is going on and how exactly you want to style yourself.

That's why, when the lovely Liberty at Boohoo kindly contacted me and offered me the opportunity to preview Boohoo's Autumn/Winter look-book, I jumped at the chance.

You're all aware of my love for Boohoo - perusing their website is one of my many guilty pleasures! I'm a massive fan of their simple layout and ability to deliver key trends at an affordable price and of a good standard. Boohoo's Autumn/Winter look-book sure didn't let me down and I'm thrilled to be able to share it with you:

As well as being aesthetically gorgeous the Look-book showed a clear selection of trends that're set to hit our high-street within the next few weeks. Previous popular trends such as Folk, Gothic and Military chic will be making a celebrated comeback alongside newer contenders such as Oriental and Mod styles which leave something for everyone.

In addition to the elegant portfolio, Boohoo supplied me with a disc containing snapshots of the whole Autumn / Winter range for me to drool over. From this I've complied by favourite pieces in somewhat of a 'collage' to tantalize you with a teaser of what you can expect in store this Autumn.

Typically for me I have migrated towards the 'Gothic' side of things and am absolutely in love/lust with the items previewed above. At the moment I'm dreaming of styling the gorgeous 'Priya' dress with a lace under-shirt, long boots and a gorgeous crisp military coat in a deep berry shade. The 'Hannah' top is calling to be styled with some leather trousers, biker boots and a fur lined parka for an off duty cosy chic and as for the 'Jenny' bag - can I not just have it to go with everything please?

In addition to this breakdown above, Boohoo have actually got a fab little interactive guide to key trends for Autumn and Winter which you can find online HERE

What's your favourite piece from the upcoming Boohoo collection? Is there any key trend you're really excited about for Autumn/Winter.

Let me know below!

My Wavy Jewellery Wishlist

Hello honeys! How're we all doing?!
Wavy Jewellery is a fab indie jewellery company that makes the most darling rock n roll and bohemian inspired pieces. Perfect for festivals they add the best finishing touches to an outfit.

I'm pretty much in love with the whole little range but my top three pics would have to be :

The gorgeous Tribal bangles which you can find HERE - I'd totally team these with an exotic maxi dress, boots + a jacket and pretend that I'm warmer climates! Failing that I'd wear them over a long sleeved lacy top for a really dramatic appeal.

This absolutely fabulous skull bracelet which you can grab HERE
- I'd team this beauty with leather leggings, a white burnout tee + some killer heels. Subtle but sexy and the perfect shiney edge!

Lastly I'm absolutely crazy over these spiked earrings which are up on sale HERE - I'd wear them with anything and everything as they're the most awesome way to add a little edge to daily outfits! A must have for a bit of a secret rock n roll lover like me ; embrace my inner greeb!

What's your favourite wavy jewellery piece?

Naturally as a little bit of an ASOS obsessive I was mega excited to hear of this and set about creating my own set :

I'd love to say that I'd wear this for a sunny walk in the park with friends but looking at the weather + the bog marsh that currently seems to be all around I'd much more likely wear it in the safety of a friends warm dry house for a chilled out get together.

Project Perfect : Volume Two - The blazer

Hello my lovelies! Hope you're all well and good today! I'm mighty glad it's Friday tomorrow and the end of my week! I absolutely love my job in a primary school but I think I'm just as desperate for the 6 weeks holidays this year as the kids themselves!

Today we have another fab edition of Project perfect! You can check out volume one HERE - infact I strongly suggest you do because the gorgeous Gemma has been added to my little black dress babes!

Today however, we're all about blazers. Blazers of glory infact if we're going to get all punny! I'll stop making you all cringe now and show you what I got (sounds like it belongs in a rap vid!):

 Size 6 - Me! Fashionismyh2o
Yep yep I'm getting all up with the action again this week! Can't get me away from the camera LOL. This blazer is one of my fave pieces of clothing. Well, I say that but I barely ever wear it! Someone needs to come slap me round the head because I bloody love it when I do! This outfit was for a quick pub catch up with my old friends from sixth form - ironically enough we've just got around to planning the next one maybe I'll crack it out again. I love black and white clothing - so much infact the kids in my class at school always act suprised when I wear colour! This blazer was definitely brought to add a little bright to my life and I love the pop it brings to the table. It's slightly oversized and adds a little bit of comfort when teamed with a short short skirt! Oh, and it was only £20 from H&M - Bargain!

Size 8 - Amy Lou! From http://alifeinbeautyam.blogspot.com/
Amy Lou is an absolute little stunner! Her pixie crop makes me want to go wild and get rid of all my hair and her super sweeping fringe makes me nostalgic for when mine wasn't such a fail! Her blog is a delight and covers a range of beauty issues from fake tan to nails and all in between. She offers a fab indepth insight and is always willing to share fab new products! Amy's outfit is absolutely delicious I'm sure you'll agree and describing it she says : "Wearing a blazer makes me feel confident in more ways than one I style my blazer by having a black one to start off with as I am quite classic in my dress sense. I roll up the sleeves of the blazer and leave it loose over a top as I like to feel that I am in control of the blazer not the other way round, with my black jeans and a pair of shoes that are out of this world...yes beauties they are louboutin's  :)"

 Size 10 - Lauren from TheCosmeticsKitten.com

Lauren is an absolute darling! One of the most girly and bubbly ladies I've come across through blogging and yes - she's a football fan too! Helping me to prove that it's not only the boys who know what they're on about when it comes to the beautiful game! Lauren's a primary teacher (how much we have in common!) and her blog focuses on a range of beauty, fashion and lifestyle posts that always keep me going back for more. She has a load of fab makeup and hair tricks so if you're looking for a new way to get styled up this summer definitely pay her a visit! Lauren has gone for a fab rock n roll look with this outfit and describing it says "I'n this photo I'm just wearing a simple blouse and denim shorts to show how easily a blazer can be used to smarten up an outfit" which is something that I feel a lot of us turn to a blazer for! Fab!

Paula is another lovely down to earth lady with a sparkling gem of a blog! Glamorously named 'pieces of chanel' (oh how much do we all wish we had a few of them in our lives?!) Paulas blog is a fab mix of beauty and lifestyle fashion posts again. At the moment she's showing us how camping doesn't have to be crap with some gorgeous festival ready accessories to protect us from the mud! Paula is also absolutely gorgeous as you can see above with the most perfect auburn hair I've seen! Her outfit is definitely one I'd wear myself and about it she says "I love my blazers and they tend to be repeat offenders in my wardrobe, teamed with everything from sequin dresses to boyfriend jeans and everything in between. So picking something to style with my blazer for this post was not easy. I decided to go with my favourite, vintage shorts. This whole outfit is a typical weekend look for me. I love my shorts, but they're a bit inappropriate for work and a touch on the short side, but I always feel like my oversize 80s style blazer tones them down a bit and makes them more wearable for every day. There's not many items of clothing that can dress up or dress down outfits in equal measures but my blazers definitely do the job. Plus the hide a multitude of lumps and bumps! P.S how scary is the hinge on our gate looking in my pic, like it's coming for my head!"

Size 14 - Steph from http://www.stephaniedreams.com/

Steph is such a lovely lady - always ready for a chat on twitter and full of fab advice and generally amazing style. She manages to rock the most simple of pieces in really fashion forward and unique ways and I love popping over to have a browse at her blog for some style inspiration! Stephanie Dreams - her blog - is full to the brim with great OOTD posts (expertly taken unlike mine) and lots of gorgeous whimsical beauty posts with a dash of lifestyle for good measure - my idea of blog heaven. Describing this gorgeous outfit (how much do you want to steal that burnout tee!) Steph says "If so..... I think it's hard to do, and not just follow the next person who looks fab in a blazer. I think the post important thing is to feel confident though. I have my blazer open, as I don't want to focus on the tightness around my belly, I also think shoulder pads are good to even out your shoulders, make your waist looks smaller and try to achieve the hour glass shape. "

Size 16 - Laura from - no blog yet but let's all encourage her to MAKE ONE NOW!

Laura contacted me last week after the first project perfect post went live explaining that she'd love to take part even though she didn't have her very own blog yet. Of course I jumped at the chance as she's super lovely and a joy to chat to via email/twitter. Laura is definitely considering making a blog so I think it's our duty looking at her fab sense of style to encourage her to do just that - go on Laura we'll all be ready to support you! Discussing her gorgeous outfit Laura says " I bought this blazer from Tesco on a whim a couple of weeks back thinking I have literally dozens of outfits this could smarten up! I hate my arms being on show so take every opportunity to wear cardigans and blazers, my arms aren't huge but I'm very conscious of them and I needed something smarter than a cardigan for becoming a godmum to my best friends youngest daughter. It hangs beautifully and the fabric is a viscose type with a slight stretch to it, HOWEVER to make sure I could get it closed over my boobs I have had to opt for the 20 as the 16 was nowhere near :(.The dress is linea/house of fraser heavy jersey, very forgiving to cover all the lumps and bumps and is a size 16" I think we need to give the lovely Laura a round of applause for her very first OOTD here!

So that's this weeks Project Perfect edition! I hope you've enjoyed reading it as much as I enjoyed putting it together. A massive thankyou to the gorgeous girls that have got involved and I think we can all agree they look amazing!

As always if you feel like you'd like to get involved just drop me a comment below or TWEET me!
Happy Thursday ladies!

Festival Fashion

Hello lovelies!
Yes it's that time of year again : rain rain and more rain! Must meen festival fun is right around the corner! Long gone are the days when a few days at Glasto meant a sunbathe and a killer tan ; now it's all mud baths and well...mud baths!

The lovely Rebecca asked me to pop together some festival fashion ideas as she's off to her very first one this weekend! I've tried to come up with a range that'll hopefully suit all weather so let's have a peep:

This is definitely something I would wear myself. I really enjoy contrast so a ethereal and feminine skirt + top teamed with heavy boots and a thick parka would be right up my street. The boots would definitely guard you from the mud whilst the parka looks rain storm safe! The shades are for if the sun comes out or if you're simply too hungover to face any type of light! Top off with some heavy duty hardware accessories for a look that's half fairy princess and half rock and roll fighter.

Fairy Princess is definitely the name of the game with this outfit. The beautiful skirt gives a real girly appeal whilst the studded bandeau and cool girl converse offer another fab twist. The flower headband is a truly festival friendly accessory - where else could you parade around with this on your head in such confidence? Chuck on the denim jacket if temperatures dip and add a pair of tights if necessary.

This look is a little bit Kate Moss I feel. The leather leggings are not only gorgeous and stylish but fab for if it's wet or cold! The cosy jumper will keep you warm and the scarf adds the most fabulous pop of colour. Layer on the bracelets, protect your hair from rain with the trilby and pop on these fab boots to keep your toes dry. Win win. Style and not soaked!

This is perhaps the most wearable of festival outfits. A gorgeous floral dress to embrace your inner hippie. Teamed with a generous jacket to keep you cosy whilst still remaining stylish. Topped of with some funky bikers, tights and a trilby and decorated with an array of wooden and gold jewellery for a look that is both pretty and practical. I would wear this with a gorgeous pop brightly coloured lippy to really stand out from the crowd.

Lastly, if layering is your game this outfit is the one for you. Perfect for summer sunshine the dress, light waist coat and cute shoes on their own would look stunningly summery. However, as soon as rain clouds appear merely layer on the gorgeous structured biker style jacket + chuck on some tights and you'd be ready to rock again. The headband, studded belt and jewellery offer a little bit of rock n roll glamour which is perfect for jazzing up your festival ensemble. Rock out in style.

For any links to products above (all high-street and under £40 a pop) leave me a comment below or tweet me HERE and I'll get back to you.

Are you going to any festivals this year? What will you be wearing?
